HOUSE RULES

By entering the hotel, all guests accept the following house rules. Hotel staff are authorised to issue instructions to ensure these rules are followed. Any violation may result in immediate expulsion from the hotel.

1. General Rules
1.1 No Smoking
Hotel Zoo Berlin is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vaping devices) is strictly prohibited indoors. Smokers may use room balconies and the hotel’s outdoor areas (the pattio of the GRACE Bar and the terrace at the GRACE Restaurant). Breach of this policy will result in a fine and a charge for additional cleaning (e.g., of curtains and fabric upholstery).
1.2 Pets
Pets are permitted in public areas of the hotel, in GRACE, and in guest rooms. The only exception is during dinner hours at the GRACE Restaurant – pets are not allowed at this time (assistance dogs excepted).
1.3 Children
Children are welcome at Hotel Zoo Berlin and in the GRACE Restaurant. In the GRACE Bar, children and adolescents may enter when accompanied by an adult until 9:00 PM, and on the rooftop until 10:00 PM. Guests are always responsible for their children while on the premises, and children must never be left unsupervised. Parents or legal guardians are liable for any damage caused due to lack of supervision. They must ensure children are properly supervised and do not cause harm or damage to persons, property, or furnishings.
1.4 Inclusion & Equality
Hotel Zoo Berlin is committed to a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. Discrimination of any kind – particularly on the basis of religion or belief, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or other protected characteristics – will not be tolerated. Violations of this policy may result in a ban from the premises.

2. Behaviour in Public Areas
2.1 Cloakroom
Coats and jackets must be deposited at the free cloakroom when using public areas (Living Room, GRACE Bar, GRACE Restaurant).
2.2 Consumption of Outside Food and Drinks
Guests are not permitted to consume food or drinks brought in from outside, unless required for medical reasons.
2.3 Phone Calls
To maintain a relaxed atmosphere and mutual respect, guests are kindly asked to refrain from making phone calls in the public areas.
2.4 Name Badges
Guests are kindly requested not to wear name badges during their visit – exceptions apply for exclusive event attendees.

3. GRACE Bar & Restaurant
3.1 Entry & Age Restrictions
If the GRACE Bar is exclusively booked for a private event, access will not be permitted. In such cases, the Living Room Bar is available.
From 9:00 PM, access to the GRACE Bar is restricted to guests aged 18 and over. Proof of age must be shown upon request.
3.2 Dress Code
Guests are politely informed that access to the GRACE Bar and GRACE Restaurant requires well-groomed, smart-casual evening attire. Inappropriate or excessively revealing clothing may lead to refusal of entry.

4. Safety & Order
4.1 Illegal Substances & Items
Guests are strictly prohibited from purchasing, using, possessing, selling, or distributing illegal drugs or substances – including in the vicinity of the hotel. Guests may also not solicit staff for such substances.
Illegal or offensive items may not be purchased, sold, used, or carried on the premises. Any such items found will be confiscated. The guest concerned will be asked to leave the premises and, depending on the situation, the police or relevant authorities will be notified.
4.2 Accidents & Injuries
If a guest suffers an accident or injury on Hotel Zoo Berlin’s premises, it must be reported to a staff member as soon as possible – and no later than within 24 hours. This is for both duty of care and insurance purposes.
4.3 CCTV Surveillance
Guests should be aware that CCTV cameras are in use throughout the hotel for security purposes.

5. Use of Facilities
Fitness Area
Use of the fitness area is at guests’ own risk. Guests are fully responsible for any damage or injury to themselves, others, the equipment, or the facilities caused by improper use.
Children and adolescents under 18 may only use the fitness area when accompanied by a responsible adult. Parents or guardians must ensure proper supervision and conduct at all times.
